The MCTC Paralegal Program began in 1974 as a pilot program of the American Association of Community and Junior Colleges, and has been continuously approved by the American Bar Association since 1985.  We offer both an Associate Degree and Certificate Program, as well as Continuing Paralegal Education Programs.  

"The legal assistant or paralegal is a person qualified by education, training or work experience, who is employed or retained by a lawyer, law office, corporation, governmental agency or other entity and who performs specifically delegated substantive legal work for which a lawyer is responsible."
